A tattoo artist in Queensland has put a picture of her dead cat on her leg.
Samantha O’Brien, 37, from the Queensland town of Tuggeranong, took the picture of the cat with her partner.
“It was one of the best tattoos I have ever done and I’m really happy with it,” she said.
“The cat has been with me for 20 years now and I think I’m finally taking it home.”
The tattoo of the Cat Man is a reference to the cartoon show Cats, in which cats are shown playing a game of cat and mouse with humans.
The couple have four children, including a son, two girls and a dog.
“We are so happy to have had this experience and I know I’m going to enjoy this with the kids,” Ms O’Briens partner, Josh Bremner, said.
“It’s just a lovely day to have a pet and I’ve got my own little tattoo of my own cat on my leg.”
Ms O’Connor, who has a degree in veterinary science, said she had been trying to get a tattoo for about four years and had had some success.
“I’ve had people come up to me and ask if I wanted a tattoo and I said, ‘Yeah I want one’,” she said with a laugh.
