Telangena BJP leader Muthu Prakash said on Wednesday that he was not arrested over alleged animal wifery scam and had been given bail.
“I don’t have any information that I have been arrested for any animal husbandrry scam.
The allegation against me is baseless.
I am cooperating with the Telangen government and am on my way to Goa to deliver a report on the matter,” he said.
Earlier in the day, the Telesur news channel reported that Prakasattra had been arrested after a complaint was lodged by a farmer in Hyderabad on the basis of which he was allegedly cheated by the animal husbandriaries.
The farmer said he had purchased a goat from Prakassar’s house and was expecting to deliver the goat to the goat seller, but Prakattra allegedly cheated him out of the goat.
The Telesurgi news channel claimed the alleged scam had resulted in the farmer losing money and even his family.
Prakash, however, denied the allegations and said he would give a detailed report on Tuesday.
“As per my own knowledge, I have not been arrested and I have taken a plea to the Telengana police to take up the matter.
I have cooperated with the authorities in the matter and have been handed bail,” he told reporters in Telangala on Wednesday.
